What’s been happening at Shandy’s, Spring 2025…

Calves, calves and more calves. So as we have said it is the time of year when Shandy's rear calves, which are loving this mild spring and doing very well. But never fear Andy is still finding time twice a week to stock up for the busy time ahead with Markets, A & P shows, Fetes, Festivals, Fairs and The Highland Games all squeezed in between October 14th and December 13th, so keep an eye out we will be at an event near you!!

Andy is working on something new for our awesome customers that love a good sauce with their BBQ meal so keep an eye out, he may put out a teaser for you once it's out of the planning and into development stage.

Customers have been really enjoying the convenience of ordering online and with our brand new shipping app, it is even easier for us to get those orders on their way out to you.

Of course Andy is still in at the Riverside Pantry each Wednesday 12-3pm, he loves catching up with customers who enjoy the convenience of our products available all week on the shelf but especially on the Wednesday when he is available for a chat.

Exciting and more convenient we are now fully equipped and carbonating our delicious Fizz at home

In the Garden

After trying again to grow brassicas in the tunnel house over winter this year, Sharon was very successful with spinach, cauliflowers and broccoli being enjoyed right up till October. So she will definitely be trying that again, the game changer was a timer on the watering. They actually got watered without running the tank dry!!

And now it's that time of the year when you find out if the lawn mower is still working after its winter break. Sharon has already tried it out a couple of times with only a flat tyre to pump up! The garden is looking good with a bit more focus on it this year, we should have plenty of garlic and onions - already well on their way. With tomatoes, peppers, chillies and cucumbers taking over from the brassicas in the tunnel house. Courgettes, gherkins, beetroot, carrots, yams and brassicas are all now outside. Shandy's should be well supplied with homegrown goodness this season, with plenty to share with friends and neighbours.

One thing Sharon is working on is growing more of the produce we need for our products, well the produce that grows in our climate, no need fighting mother nature. She’s most proud of the Elderflower Cordial and Fizz as the two main ingredients are elderflowers sourced solely from our property and lemons are from friends trees, which make it truly homegrown and homemade, that will be why it is so popular and good for you!

Interesting Shandy's Fact

An interesting fact - here at Shandy's we believe that what makes our products outstanding is that is all of our water comes from a well and we are close to the alps so the water is stunning, making for great old fashioned homemade wholesome preserves.
